About SPR

The Name

Scissorspaperocks is an ode to the car games my father taught us on road trips (where I get my love of travel), my first brand mentor, Marty Neumeier, and my love of rock and roll (I was a toddler at Woodstock). The social “C” is a play on the C-Suite, cancer, and my love of the power of three (C is the third letter in the alphabet).
After more than 40 years as an entrepreneur, I’ve learned that every founder needs a wingman. Someone behind the scenes they can rely on no matter the circumstance. That’s me. I help performance driven companies create competitive advantage with their most valuable asset-the customer.

Scissors cut paper, paper covers rock, rock breaks scissors. A cycle.

Scissors companies are startups that focus on one brand at the start. As they grow, they change into rock. Rock companies have multiple brands, less focus. Paper companies are large and thrive on sheer size and resources. We work with all three. They all need a voice to back up their vision.
